A 25-year-old man from Bhadane Area in Sawoti was arrested last Wednesday after illegal firearms and dagga were found at his home.
The arrest was carried out as part of the Ugu District Saps’ ongoing operations.
Police discovered a 9mm Beretta pistol and a homemade firearm. There were also several packets of dagga in the house.
The man will be charged for possession of an unlicensed firearm and a homemade firearm and dealing in dagga. He will appear in the Dududu Magistrate’s Court soon.
