Sexual predator given 20 years for raping boy

His name will be entered in the National Register for Sexual Offenders.

Sibusiso Emmanuel Mbambo (46) was sentenced in the Scottburgh Regional Court last month to an effective 20 years for rape.

A case of rape was opened for investigation at Saps Hibberdene in September 2022 after a teen bravely reported that he had been raped several times by Mbambo, who threatened his life.

Mbambo was arrested by the community and handed over to police, where he remained in custody for the duration of his trial.

Detective Sergeant Sifiso Gigaba of Port Shepstone FCS ensured that sexual predator Mbambo was removed from society.

He was also declared unfit to possess a firearm, and his name will be entered in the National Register for Sexual Offenders.
