Manhunt for men linked to cop’s murder

Hawks members from Port Shepstone Serious Organised Crime Investigation requests public assistance in locating Sanele Mthembu and Xolani Ngobese/Ndlovu.

The two can assist the police in solving a case of murder where Sergeant Ntombi Mbanjwa (33) was fatally shot at her residence in Umzimkhulu on April 11, 2024.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Simphiwe Mhlongo, said Sergeants Ntokozo Mngqithi (Mbanjwa’s fiancé) and Bhungane Hadebe are currently in custody for the same murder case.

Sanele Mthembu was last seen at Dambuza area in Pietermaritzburg where he was running a tuckshop. He is originally from Bulwer.

Xolani Ngobese/Ndlovu was last seen at Edendale in Pietermaritzburg. He used to reside at Capital City Housing, NPC flats and was self-employed as an Uber driver.
