A tip-off from a business in Manaba of a vehicle spotted in the area selling drugs led to quick intervention from a security company and police.
Lazer 911 operations manager Johan Zeeman together with officer Brian Kondlo immediately travelled to the area.
On arrival, a quick assessment was done and the vehicle was swiftly located.
Zeeman and Kondlo, a Lazer 911 Rapid Response unit officer, managed to stop the vehicle.
While searching the alleged drug dealer, he was found to be in the possession of drugs.
Margate Saps was informed and attended the scene.
A further search of the vehicle conducted by Saps resulted in more drugs being found and a large sum of cash.
The drug peddler together with the drugs and cash were then handed over to Saps, and a case was opened.
On a separate note, Lazer 911 control centre recently received reports of a man selling drugs during the early hours of the morning in the Marburg area .
Reaction officers Winston Lemon and Marnus Marais were immediately dispatched with Saps.
Further information was acquired about the location of the drug seller which led to a shack in Mkholombe.
A man was found to be in the possession of various drugs, and was arrested and handed over to Saps.
