Motorists robbed on N2, near Umgababa

It is believed large rocks are being placed on the road to force vehicles to stop.

The public is reminded to drive with caution on the N2 in the Umgababa area, after a notable increase in recent armed robbery incidents.

Reports indicate that two families were robbed in this vicinity yesterday (Sunday).

It is believed that rocks are being placed on the road to force vehicles to stop.

And when a vehicle hits these obstacles, armed robbers then attack the occupants and steal valuables.

The public is asked to be alert at all times, and to report these incidents or any suspicious activity to authorities.

Umkomaas Saps has been contacted for further comment on this matter.
