Two arrested after Port Shepstone Hawks intercept drug delivery
Members of the Port Shepstone Serious Organised Crime Investigation unit were involved in the big bust.
Two men, aged 38 and 49, were arrested after Hawks officers intercepted a drug delivery in Ballito last Tuesday.
The Hawks members from Port Shepstone Serious Organised Crime Investigation in collaboration with the KwaZulu-Natal Counter Narcotics and the Durban Metro Police Drug Team apprehended the two suspects for dealing in drugs.
The men were caught after the Hawks received information about a drug delivery and intercepted the vehicle in the Ballito area.
The drugs were found in an e-hailing vehicle.

One of the men led police to the supplier’s home in Groutville, where heroin and drug paraphernalia worth R190 000 were seized.
Additionally, the police confiscated a Toyota Urban Cruiser valued at R450 000, which was utilised for drug transportation.
Both men were arrested and charged with dealing in drugs.
Hawks spokesperson Warrant Officer Sibu Ncane said they were expected to appear separately in the Durban and KwaDukuza Magistrate’s Courts.
The Provincial Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation in KwaZulu-Natal, Major General (Dr) Lesetja Senona, commended the teams involved for their coordinated effort.
