Firearm recovered in Emjunudwini location, suspect sought

Dududu Saps members are in the process of tracing a suspect for possession of an illegal firearm

Members received information regarding a man in possession of an illegal firearm in Emjunudwini location on March 14.

When the suspect saw police, he fled into the sugarcane fields, leaving behind a black plastic bag which contained a Taurus pistol with 11 rounds of ammunition.

Police encourage reporting of any information regarding criminal activities in local communities. Several firearms were recently recovered in the Ugu District, thanks to tip-offs.
