Man arrested in Amandawe, another unlicensed firearm off the streets

The arrest was made in Amandawe.

Police arrested a man (42) on June 30 for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Scottburgh Saps members received information from a member of the public while they were on patrol in the Ntsongeni area in Amandawe, and thereafter proceeded to the residence in question.

A search was conducted and a .38 revolver and five live rounds of ammunition were found.

The man was arrested and will appear in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court. He is also facing drug dealing charges.
