Inkosi's bodyguard arrested after man shot in Oshabeni

Police are investigating.

Lindani Shibe (37), who was shot at a tavern in Oshabeni on August 29, succumbed to his injuries in a local hospital later the same day.

According to KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda, Mehlomnyama Saps arrested a 39-year-old man in connection with the shooting.

He appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on a murder charge on August 31.

Inkosi Sthembiso Lushaba of Oshabeni confirmed that the accused is his bodyguard.

The accused will be back in court for a formal bail application on September 9.
