“These efforts to improve public services and enhance the quality of life for residents have yielded positive results, and this is attributed to the dedication and hard work of councillors, municipal staff and partners of the municipality,” said the mayor.
“The report presented to council is a testimony of hard work and our commitment to transparency, accountability and continuous efforts to serve our community.”
“Service delivery remains a fundamental part of community development. Umdoni has endured numerous hardships in the recent past. Nonetheless, there have been successes towards the restoration of all municipal services and operations.”
The refuse removal backlog has been successfully addressed, and infrastructure development is duly progressing.
The council adopted a recovery plan developed through collaborative efforts by Umdoni, and Cogta is effectively addressing challenges and moving towards the stabilisation of Umdoni.
