New Astron Energy opens in Oslo Beach

Owners Thulani and Nqobekile Bhengu are excited about their new venture.

It was a joyous occasion for owners, Thulani and Nqobekile Bhengu, friends, the community and suppliers at the official opening of the new Astron Energy petrol station in Oslo Beach recently.

The petrol station boasts a beautiful location, situated on a hill just below Esayidi TVET College’s main campus and opposite Creston College.

Speaking on the new partnership, Roche Engelbrecht, from the Caltex Fresh Stop Group congratulated Thulani and his wife, Nqobekile on their new venture.

“This is our 368th Fresh Stop in the province and it’s very exciting for us. We also have a Crispy Chicken here and Manhattan Coffee Breweries for customers to enjoy. We thank the Bhengus’ for their investment, which has also created jobs in this community,” said Engelbrecht.

He also thanked the suppliers who have partnered with the business, making everything possible and the opening a huge success.

Thulani thanked all those in attendance for their support at the opening, as well as, his partners for coming on board and supporting his vision.

“At least I can see how many potential clients I have. I am very excited about the business,” Bhengu added.

He clarified to his customers who have been asking where the Astron Energy brand comes from, and whether it’s a new one. Astron is the new Caltex South African brand.
