Motorcyclist seriously injured after hitting pothole in Uvongo

Keep your eyes on the road as potholes are hazardous and pose a danger to motorists.

A motorcyclist lost control after hitting a large pothole in the road on Marine Drive in Uvongo this morning.

When emergency services from KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service arrived, they found that the patient had sustained serious injuries.

The patient was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital.

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd said in a presentation at the South African Roads Federation Conference held in Cape Town in October last year, there were more than 25 million potholes on South Africa’s roads.
