The teams searched an empty house in Queen Street with alleged prostitution activities that vagrants had being staying in.

A task team’s collective efforts led to the arrest of 20 suspects and the seizure of drugs in Uvongo on Wednesday, July 26.

“Tactical operations were conducted in Uvongo by members from our Specialised Intervention Unit (SIU), Fidelity ADT Officers, SAPS, Law Enforcement, Uvongo CPF and other security partners,” explained Charnel Hattingh, Head of Marketing and Communications at Fidelity Services Group.

The teams searched an empty house in Queen Street with alleged prostitution activities that vagrants had being staying in. The teams also proceeded to Uvongo Spar where over 30 people were searched, and nine small bags of dagga were found.

“Twenty suspects were arrested and seven were profiled by SAPS. We congratulate everyone involved for their hard work and collective efforts in ensuring a safer community for all,” concluded Hattingh.
