Give a child a gift this Christmas
Why not give to the less privileged this festive season.
Each year the Santa Shoebox Project collects and distributes gifts for underprivileged children throughout South Africa.
This year, the project aims to collect 1000 boxes to gift less fortunate children on the South Coast.
Therefore, the community is asked to join this festive project by visiting www.santashoebox.org.za to register as a supporter.
Pledging is open and donors are able to choose the child or children for whom they wish to pledge a shoebox.
Then the next step is to fill the box with: a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, washcloth, clothing, educational supplies, sweets/treats and a toy.
The items need to be packed in a standard sized shoebox or plastic container, colourfully decorated, with the lid wrapped separately.
All items must be new and age-appropriate.
Drop off your box at Beekman House in Port Shepstone on Saturday, October 28 from 08:00 to 16:30. And on Sunday 29th from 08:00 to 14:30.
