SCARY: Flash flood hits Margate – VIDEO

It's not sure at this stage what damage there has been or if anyone has been injured.

 

A heavy downpour late on Sunday, April 14 hit South Coasters by surprise, to some extent. Flooding has occurred in places.

Videos have circulated on WhatsApp groups, especially of water gushing down from Marine Drive towards the beach, damaging paving.

According to comments on social media, some motorists were pulled from their cars on the toll road by local security personnel.

Below is an example of how the water gathered in Marine Drive.
