One dead in Sea Park accident

A man died when the vehicle he was driving left the road and hit a tree near Sea Park earlier this morning.

Gavin Black of Mi7 ambulance confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was found entrapped, and was declared dead on the scene.

“The passenger, a woman, had moderate injuries and was taken by EMRS Ambulance to hospital,” said Black.

Mi7 ambulance personnel attended the scene, with members from Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Fire and Rescue and EMRS.

There was also a burst pipe next to the road – an Ugu TLB arrived on the scene to fix it.

Traffic is flowing, but Lazer 911 has cautioned motorists to drive carefully in the area.
