Port Edward may need your vote

South Coasters are urged to tune in to watch KykNET (DSTV, Channel 144) Kwêla Dorp van die Jaar competition this Sunday, July 14, at 20.00.

Excitement is building as the seaside town of Port Edward may feature as a provincial finalist in the Kwêla Dorp van die Jaar competition on kykNET.

South Coasters are urged to tune in to watch KykNET (DSTV, Channel 144) Kwêla Dorp va9n die Jaar competition this Sunday, July 14, at 19.00.

If Port Edward has qualified, then viewers are encouraged to vote for this popular coastal destination in order for Port Edward to take the main title and win R1-million worth of free advertising on kykNET.

The winning town will also receive R1-million from Lottoland for a project or projects for the benefit of the town.

Peter Brereton, who has been actively involved in promoting the town, said a committee had been formed to incorporate all eight locations, from Mac Banana to the Wild Coast Sun, in the filming of the pretty town last month.
