JUST IN: Child (9) dies in N2 Bhobhoyi accident

Paramedics tried to resuscitate the child.

A child (9) has died after being involved in a collision on the N2 in Bhobhoyi, Port Shepstone this morning.

Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the incident.

Spokesman Craig Botha said that when emergency services arrived they found that a bakkie had knocked over a pedestrian.

“Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that a child (9) had sustained fatal injuries. Despite the exhaustive efforts from paramedics to resuscitate the child, the child was declared deceased on scene.”

Port Shepstone SAPS have taken over the scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the cause of the accident.
