Major changes for radio station
The station looks forward to serving the community with its enhanced programming and services.
The mid-South Coast’s popular radio station, Life FM KZN, is undergoing a significant transformation.
The station is transitioning from a community radio station to a low-power commercial radio station, catering to Umzinto and surrounding areas.
The revamped station is expected to broadcast on a low power frequency, soon to be revealed, and will upgrade its content to accommodate the diverse population of Umdoni.
Programmes will be delivered in multiple languages, including 50% English, 30% IsiZulu, 10% IsiXhosa, 5% Afrikaans and 5% of the other languages spoken in the area.
To reflect the multicultural community, the station will employ multiracial presenters and produce content that resonates with all residents.
The station aims to provide information, education and entertainment.
It is registered as a non-profit company (NPC), and although the official move from Dududu to Umzinto has not been finalised, the management is busy developing new formats for the broadcasting service.
Life FM KZN invites businesses and individuals with similar interests to support the revamped station.
