Dana Daniels said that she is ready to work tirelessly to make a positive impact.

New Ward 15 councillor Dana Daniels was sworn in to represent the DA in the Umdoni Council last week.

Daniels was officially sworn in by Magistrate Arusha Goupal at the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court.

The speaker of council, Clr Mthandeni Mbutho, welcomed Daniels on behalf of council and stated that he looks forward to a fruitful working relationship.

Daniels received 98.39% of the votes at the recent by-election for Ward 15, as per the IEC.

“This moment marks a new chapter in my journey to serve our community. I’m humbled, grateful and ready to work tirelessly to make a positive impact and make our community proud,” she said.

“Thank you for trusting me with this responsibility, and let’s work together!”

Former ward councillor Shara Singh extends her deepest gratitude to everyone who came out to vote on the day.

“Special congratulations to Dana Daniels on a well-deserved victory! I am confident that she will continue to lead our community with dedication and vision,” said Singh.

“It has been my great honour to serve you, and I look forward to seeing the continued progress and positive change in the capable hands of your new representative.”
