Support this year’s Santa Shoebox Project

All shoeboxes need to be handed in this weekend.

Each year, the Santa Shoebox Project collects and distributes gifts for underprivileged children throughout South Africa and Namibia.

This year, the project aims to reach 900 boxes to gift less fortunate children on the South Coast.

Therefore, the community is asked to join this festive project by visiting www.santashoebox.org.za to register as a supporter.

Pledging is open, and donors are able to choose the child or children for whom they wish to pledge a shoebox.

Then, the next step is to fill the box with a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, washcloth, clothing, educational supplies, sweets/treats and a toy.

The items need to be packed in a standard-sized shoebox or plastic container, colourfully decorated, with the lid wrapped separately.

All items must be new, unused and age-appropriate.

The drop-off dates for your box at Beekman House in Port Shepstone are October 26 between 08:00 and 16:00 and October 27 between 08:00 and 14:00.

Contact Sandy Kathrayan-Moodley on 082 4523346 for further information.
