Long-serving board member wished well

He is moving to his son's farm at Balgowan, Midlands and is wished a happy retirement there.

Khanya Hospice staff recently bid farewell to Dr/Rev Jan Ferreira, an active hospice board member and supporter.

Ferreira is an ordained pastor and social worker by profession. He is also the founder of the Agape Learning Centre in Pennington with his wife, Cheryl.

He is moving to his son’s farm at Balgowan, Midlands and is wished a happy retirement there.

“Knowing him, he will still be involved in the community like he was here on the South Coast,” said Neil McDonald, CEO of Khanya Hospice.

“Jan and Cheryl are going to leave a big void in the community that they have been serving for many years.”

Hospice staff and the patients said that they will miss him dearly.
