Join Umbango conservancy and fight pollution

The meeting will held at Gate Ministries, Old Casa Hall in Albersville this Saturday, November 9 at 14:00.

The Umbango River Conservancy (URC) will host a meeting at Gate Ministries, Old Casa Hall, in Albersville this Saturday (9th) at 14:00.

Conservancy members, businesses, environmentalists, environmental officers and waste management officers of Ray Nkonyeni Municipality and Ugu District municipalities are invited to attend.

The conservancy appeals to those who are fed up with the deterioration of Port Shepstone, Albersville, Umbango, Marburg, Mbango and Oslo Beach to join the organisation.

Chairman Morgan Naidoo encouraged people to join URC as they need more residents in their fight against pollution. “Many have the expertise with regard to environmental issues, and they can be assets to the conservancy. Just being a social media activist won’t solve our environmental issues,” explained Naidoo.

Membership to URC is R50 per annum.

For further information, contact Morgan Naidoo on 076 2389826.
