Travellers explore destinations at expo

More needs to happen on the South Coast, not only for tourists but also for locals to go on holidays.

Teresa Smith hosted a travel expo at the Margate Retirement Village last Thursday.

Teresa says she is extremely passionate about travelling and finds it sad that the South Coast seems to be the forgotten area of KZN.

“We need to see more happening on the South Coast, not only for tourists but also for locals to go on holidays.”

She says that it would be great to see shows, exhibitions and games being staged in the area similar to those in the big cities.

“Everyone loves a holiday, be it local or international, so this is where the idea came from, and I decided that we host this expo.”

The travel expo was well attended by the villagers, as well as residents from Umdoni Retirement Village and Mbango Valley Association, and the general public.
