Movember kicks in

During this month, men are known to grow their moustaches and raise awareness of men's health issues.

It is once again that time of the year for men to celebrate Movember.

During this month, men are known to grow their moustaches and raise awareness of men’s health issues.

They often encourage one another to make an appointment with their medical practitioner and have themselves tested for prostate and testicular cancer.

“We do believe early detection can make a big difference,” said Neil McDonald of Khanya Hospice.

He also encouraged men to assist with fundraising during this time. “Please tell your family and friends and bring a donation, as every little bit helps and makes a difference in the lives of the very sick people to whom we are offering free hospice services.”

Hospice can be contacted at hospice@khanyahospice.co.za or on 083 5978985.
