Pageant hopeful raises funds for amputees
The fundraising event included a car show, children’s games and vendors.
Mr India South Africa hopeful Shivan Moodley hosted the Wheels Of Hope fundraising event at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre last Saturday.

Moodley, who is an amputee, said pageant participants are required to embark on charity initiatives.
He said he was raising funds for young amputees who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

“A Johannesburg-based organisation helps amputees who cannot afford prosthetics. It puts them through school, extracurricular activities and so forth. This is the organisation I plan to donate the proceeds to,” said Moodley.

He added that the fundraising event included a car show, children’s games and vendors.
Funds raised were for amputees on the South Coast and around KwaZulu-Natal.
“As an amputee, this fundraiser is very close to my heart,” he said.
