WARNING! GRAPHIC IMAGE: Dog hanging – R1000 reward for info

A reward of R1 000 is being offered for any information that results in an arrest.

A R1000 reward is being offered by the Lower South Coast SPCA for any information on the hanging of a dog in the Uzimkhulu area.

The SPCA’s manager, Inspector Mike Davis, said the society is deeply saddened and disturbed by the recent barbaric act of animal cruelty where a dog was hanged to death.

The dog was found on a road near Ebuta Farm in Clydesdale near Umzimkhulu town.

“We are urgently appealing to anyone with information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the person or persons responsible for this cruel act,” said Davis.

The dog found hanged from a tree in the Mzimkhulu area.

A reward of R1 000 is being offered for any information that results in an arrest.

Davis said they strongly believe that with the support of the community, they could increase the reward amount in the hope someone would come forward with information.

“Together, let us stand against animal cruelty and ensure that justice is done,” he said.
If any members of the community have information or would like to contribute to the reward fund, contact the LSC SPCA on 083 2226354.

All information received will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and anonymity.

The SPCA can also be contacted on 039 312 0962 or 083 2226355.
