Cable thieves strike again in Park Rynie

There has been yet another case of cable theft in the Umdoni area.

This was in Alkins Drive, Park Rynie and it’s the second time that cables have been stolen on this road this year.

The first incident was on September 2, the more recent theft was at the same spot last Friday.

By the next day, technicians were at the scene to restore power.

Other cable theft cases in the area were in Scottburgh on August 8 and June 20.

Residents are still furious and question why nothing has been done to prevent these crimes from recurring.

Besides cable theft, this stretch of road has been having power issues for many months.
