Trusted treasurer bid farewell

Jenni Els served on PEBRRA committees since 2019 and took over the treasurer portfolio the following year.

Long-standing committee member and trusted and efficient treasurer Jenni Els was bid farewell by the Port Edward and Banners Rest Ratepayers’ Association (PEBRRA) last Saturday.

Jenni served on PEBRRA committees since 2019 and took over the treasurer portfolio the following year.

Rob Alcock, PEBRRA chairman, says that when the current committee started its tenure, no one could fill her shoes, and she graciously offered to stay in an ex-officio capacity.

“Ultimately, she stayed on for almost two years. We will miss her vast knowledge of Port Edward and the PEBRRA finances on our journey forward. We will tap her memory from time to time,” he said.

As a token of gratitude, PEBRRA presented Jenni with an original oil painting by local artist Charmaine Behrens.

Sarel Ueckermann joined the committee as the new treasurer.
