Karaoke singers end year off on high note

This annual event will definitely be on the calendar again next year.

The Amateur Karaoke Association (AKA) held a joyful gospel and country evening at the Douglas Mitchell Sports Club last Wednesday.

Some 60 keen karaoke singers joined, and it turned out to be a great and successful evening.

Convener of the Amateur Karaoke Association, Gerrie Odendaal, said at one point in time, all the singers were singing together while some of the guest artists led the massive team effort.

Tommy Naude and his wife Maryke with guest artist and co-sponsor Linda Viljoen.

There were about 25 cash lucky draw prizes up for grabs, and this annual event will definitely be on the calendar again next year.

Odendaal said this event was staged to show gratitude to the members who supported AKA throughout the year.

“We look forward to more events like this in 2025, and to involve learners and to invite them to become part of this successful AKA group of singers!”
