Scottburgh cops are ready for the festive season

This march also promoted the partnership and readiness of Saps and local roleplayers for the holidays.

Saps and local law enforcement united in Scottburgh last Tuesday for a march through the CBD to mark the closing of 16 Days of Activism.

Men in blue and other law enforcement roleplayers make their presence known in Scottburgh.

This included members from Scottburgh Saps, Scottburgh Community Police Forum, Youth Desk, Umdoni Traffic and Policing, Ithuba Protection Services, Gladiator Security Services, Wildfire Protection Services, Mazizi Protection Services, RTI Park Rynie and Umzinto K9.

The team created awareness of gender-based violence and crimes against women and children.

The public was encouraged to report all crimes.

Educational posters were shown to the public during the march.

This march also promoted the partnership and readiness of Saps and local roleplayers for the holidays.

“We are showcasing readiness to take on the festive season and are showing community members that there is unity when fighting crime,” said station commander Colonel Ralph Ruiters.
