Mtamvuna River bridge blocked by taxis

It is hoped that the bridge will be cleared sooner rather than later.

The Mtamvuna River bridge (CH Mitchell Bridge) has been blocked by taxis since the early hours of this morning.

Motorists have struggled to get to Port Edward from the Wild Coast side and vice versa.

Comment has been sought from the taxi association involved as to the reasons behind it.

Saps is on scene, monitoring the situation.

This is a developing story.
