Bike ride raises funds to fix road

It was a successful event, with some 113 bikers of all ages enjoying the three different tracks recently.

Bikers turned up in their numbers to show their support at the Paddock Fun Bike Ride to raise much-needed funds to repair the road leading to Oribi Gorge and the Nature Reserve from the N2.

It was a successful event, with some 113 bikers of all ages enjoying the three different tracks recently.

Organisers thank their main sponsor, Brett Robins from Industrial Supply Centre, and all who supported the event.

Bikers all set for the Paddock fun bike ride last Sunday.

According to one of the organisers, Angus Adie, the road to the nature reserve is in dire need of repair.

“The event was held to raise funds for the repair of a 10km stretch. It has been in this state for quite some time now, and no one seems to care to give the road the needed repairs and attention.”

Besides the funds raised, the event was enjoyed by all bikers and visitors.
