Child injured in head-on collision near Gamalakhe

Seven other patients were also taken to a nearby hospital for further care.

A child sustained critical head and chest injuries after a head-on collision between a car and taxi on the P200 between Gamalakhe and Margate yesterday (Wednesday).

KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the scene, where paramedics rendered medical attention to the child.

Craig Botha of Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service said four more patients sustained serious injuries and three patients had minor injuries.

The patients were treated on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
