A temple receiving new murthis (deity statues) is significant in Hinduism, marking it as a time of celebration and renewed devotion. These new murthis are typically consecrated through rituals like Pran Pratishek (entering the life breath), after which they are worshipped with adornments, offerings, and various prayers.
