Rescued bushbuck on road to recovery

You can play your part in supporting the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW).

A young bushbuck without a tail which was rescued at Selborne Golf Estate in October last year is healing well at the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW).

It is believed she lost her tail due to an animal attack.

The bushbuck, which was about one month old at the time of her rescue, has been named Rose.

The night before her rescue, she was seen wandering towards the guard station, bleeding from her hind area and missing her tail.

Hoping her mother would return, the guards treated her wounds with salt and kept her safe in the ablution block overnight.

When there was no sign of her mother the next day, CROW was contacted.

Members of the public can sponsor Rose during her stay at CROW and help the organisation continue providing her with the specialised diet, veterinary care and support she needs to fully recover.

Every sponsorship brings her one step closer to being strong enough to return to the wild, where she belongs.
