Police captain wished a happy retirement

She served at several KZN police stations over the years.

Umkomaas police bid farewell to Captain Debra Sibusisiwe Sibisi who recently retired after over three decades of diligent service.

During her service, she obtained three medals for loyal service, and attended various courses in the policing environment.

Sibisi served with pride at various stations including Durban Central, Durban South, Umlazi, Verulam, eThekwini District and Umkomaas.

“She was a dedicated, diplomatic and impactful leader, as well as a passionate officer who served with etiquette and exuberance,” said Umkomaas Saps communications officer, Captain Ranjith Rampersad,

She promoted the Batho Pele principles of people first, athletics and fun walks. Throughout her career, she promoted policing at all levels, especially saying no to gender-based violence.

Rampersad also mentioned that Sibisi balanced her roles with dignity and decorum which made her a beacon of inspiration.

“I am grateful for the experience that shaped me into a fine commissioned officer” she said.

“I continue to reminisce about my career and some selfless individuals who mentored me along the way, and I will always continue to support and advocate for the advancement of Saps.”

She is wished a happy retirement by members of Umkomaas Saps.
