Help ‘Save a Fishie’

The Save a Fishie team will be cleaning up beaches all along South Africa’s coastline and everyone is welcome to join.

Environmental activist Zoë Prinsloo (23) from Cape Town will be heading to the South Coast’s shores for her annual Save a Fishie’s Coast 2 Coast 2025 campaign.

Zoë, is the not only the founder of Save a Fishie, but she is the world record holder for the longest beach clean-up (27 hours), award-winning and one of the panellists at The Our Oceans Conference in Busan, Korea, recently.

This year’s countrywide campaign kicked-off on May 17, and will run until July 5.

The Save a Fishie team has started in Cape Town to clean the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. They will then head to the Indian Ocean beaches in KZN, and all the way south, back to Cape Town.

This will be Save a Fishie’s third Coast 2 Coast and the team will stop to clean a total of 33 beaches. Everyone is encouraged to get involved and help make a difference.

“Whether you’re on the West Coast, in KwaZulu-Natal, or the Eastern Cape, there’s a stop near you. Let’s make waves together for a cleaner, healthier ocean,” said Zoë.

Support the campaign and join the Port Shepstone Teddies, Brownies, Girl Guides and Rangers at The Block in Port Shepstone on June 10 at 15:00 or at Oslo Beach on June 11 at 10:00.

Come and help Zoë meet her goal of collecting seven tons of litter.

Zoë Prinsloo from Cape Town will visit the South Coast’s beaches in June.
