Restoration Cup on the cards
The tournament was established about 65 years ago when the clubhouse and golf course were destroyed by floods.
One of Port Shepstone Country Club’s (PSCC) biggest competitions of the year, the Restoration Cup, takes place on the June 7 and 8. The tournament was established about 65 years ago when the clubhouse and golf course were destroyed by floods.
Since then, the club has hosted the Restoration Cup annually to continue raising funds to repair and improve club facilities. The event attracts full fields of golfers and many sponsors who are joined afterwards by family and friends for an evening of festivities at the clubhouse. The two-day competition also creates a marketing platform for the local businesses on the South Coast and it is a great opportunity to meet the community and build relationships with the public at large.
The marketing manger at PSCC, Sumansha Rupnarain, said the club is immensely proud to have had the support and loyalty of everyone that has contributed to the success of every Restoration Cup held, and for the many improvements they have been able to execute. “We are so privileged to have partnered with Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach for the past 11 years now to commemorate our annual Restoration Cup,” she said.
Join them to experience an exhilarating weekend at the club. Some of the festivities include live entertainment on both days, watering/sponsor holes on the golf course, a R100 000 cash prize for a hole-in-one on hole 17, fantastic overall prizes to be won and most importantly, a celebration of togetherness and camaraderie with awesome fun on and off the golf course.
