Scottburgh conservation centre donates funds and feed for animals in need

The cheque was handed over in Scottburgh recently.

In the spirit of giving back, R2000 was raised for the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow) to support its work with animals in need.

The donation was made by Scottburgh’s Crocworld Conservation Centre after a scavenger hunt event organised by Wanita Westerdale earlier this year.

Centre manager Susan Badat said that they have seen the vital work of CROW which rescues and rehabilitates wildlife, often helping with animals brought to them by the public.

The cheque was handed over in Scottburgh last week, along with two 40kg bags of high-fibre animal feed.

“This donation is a token of our appreciation for their unwavering commitment and we’re proud to support such a meaningful cause,” said Badat.

Joining her at the handover was S’milo Nyawose (Crocworld curio shop manager), Heidi Gibson (junior fundraising and marketing officer for Crow) and Clint Halkett-Siddall (operations director for Crow).
