Puppy found dumped in black bag in Ramsgate
The community rallies for justice for little Ramsey.
The Ramsgate community is appealing for information after a puppy was found dumped in a black plastic bag on the corner of Fascadale and Buck Drive last Friday morning.
The puppy, now named Ramsey, was discovered shortly after 09:00 and taken to Dr Watson Veterinary Clinic for urgent care. His injuries include severe damage to a paw, which will be amputated once his condition improves.
According to the Ramsgate Community Policing Forum (CPF), the case is under investigation and leads are being followed. If you have any information, please contact the Ramsgate CPF on 073 4868683.
The Ramsgate SOS Animal Group has also stepped in, offering a reward for information leading to the identification of the person or people responsible.

The Ramsgate community has already raised close to R5 000 towards the reward and is covering Ramsey’s veterinary costs.
Dr Watson confirmed that Ramsey is recovering well, is gentle and obedient, and gets along with other animals.
Several residents have already expressed interest in adopting him once he has healed.
