Hibiscus Quilters Guild stitches together 36 years of creativity

A highlight of the day was the chance to join one of three complimentary classes.

The Hibiscus Quilters Guild marked a colourful milestone last Tuesday when members gathered to celebrate the guild’s 36th birthday with a cheerful sew-a-long day.

Hosted by the ever-enthusiastic chairperson Elna Stringer and her hardworking eagle team committee, the event was a feast of creativity, camaraderie, and of course, plenty of stitching.

Elna said the bottomless cups of tea and coffee kept the needles moving and the energy flowing, while generous sandwich platters satisfied every craving.

A highlight of the day was the chance to join one of three complimentary classes, each led by a skilled teacher who guided participants through new techniques and projects.
