Japanese vehicles and engineering brilliance have captivated car lovers for decades, from the iconic Nissan Skyline, Toyota Supra and the unmistakable Mazda RX-7, which have found a passionate following in South Africa.
South Coasters get ready for an action-packed event as GAS Magazine in partnership with Dezzi Raceway hosts Japan Drive, a premier Japanese motorsport and lifestyle experience this weekend (1st and 2nd).
It will showcase Japanese automotive culture, innovation and lifestyle. This premier event is poised to set a new benchmark on the motoring calendar, bringing the adrenaline, art and heritage of Japanese motoring to life like never before.
As the curators of the iconic GAS Motorshow – one of the largest and most dynamic motoring expos in the country – GAS Magazine is leveraging its legacy to launch a specialised experience that pays homage to the legendary Japanese Domestic Market (JDM).
Japan Drive is not only a motorsport exhibition, but a cultural movement, an immersive tribute to the design, discipline and driving spirit that defines Japan’s global automotive influence.
The event will feature drifting, passenger ride-along, circuit runs, show ‘n shine competitions, racing simulators, curated JDM exhibitions and a taste of Japan through authentic food experiences.
