Join Remembrance Day Parade at Mbango Valley Association

There are two memorial services taking place this Sunday.

It’s that time of the year when the Moths (Memorable Order of Tin Hats) come together to pay tribute to the brave men and women who served the country, and to remember those who gave their lives in the cause of freedom.

The Moth Rough But Ready Shellhole invites all members of the South Coast community to join them for this year’s Remembrance Day Parade at Mbango Valley Association this Sunday (9th) at 08:30 for 09:00.

This year, Moths also remember the animals who served alongside the soldiers – the loyal horses, dogs and carrier pigeons which shared in their hardships and courage.

All ex-servicemen and women, along with members of the public, are warmly encouraged to attend and take part in this act of remembrance.

Following the parade, a short memorial service and laying of wreaths will take place at the Mbango Valley Service Centre Hall, including the traditional two minutes of silence.

The traditional poppy donation will also be available at the venue for those who wish to contribute in support of veterans and remembrance efforts. Stand together in unity and gratitude to honour those who have gone before, and to ensure their memory endures for generations to come.
