South Coast music students triumph at national competition
They earned top honours and secured international spots.
Music of Note Studio is celebrating a remarkable achievement as its South Coast students shone at the national Talent Africa competition, bringing home top honours and securing places on the international stage.
Music teacher, Colette Baillie, said special congratulations goes to Kate Chivers, Arav Maharaj, and Hriday Kambaran, who each earned the coveted diamond certificate – the highest accolade – and automatic entry to the Stars of the Universe international competition.
Adding to the studio’s impressive achievements, five other talented musicians have qualified to represent South Africa at the International Stars of the Universe competition. These rising stars are: Surili Maharaj, Kailash Hiralal, Kiaan Reddy, Anna Chivers, and Abigail van Reenen.
