Port Shepstone dance school gets ready for lights, camera…action

This November, Elvira Venter Dance School takes audiences on a cinematic journey with their 26th annual production, Thru the Silver Screen. The show brings the magic of movies to life through the art of dance at Wild Coast Sun’s Tropical Nites Theatre.
Show dates are Friday, November 28 at 19:00, and Saturday, November 29 at 14:00 and 19:00.
Known for their joyful energy and close-knit dance family, Elvira Venter Dance School unites students of all ages who train in styles ranging from hip-hop, modern, and contemporary to jazz, Broadway, musical theatre, and lyrical dance.
Each year, their productions captivate audiences, and this year is no exception. Thru the Silver Screen blends iconic film moments with imaginative choreography, stunning costumes, and heartfelt performances. From timeless classics to modern hits, the stage becomes a living movie reel, with every dance telling its own story.
Adding to the excitement, guest tribute artist Charl van Tonder will perform as Elvis Presley, bringing The King’s timeless music and charisma to the show.
