New R7.9m community hall for Oswanini
The hall will accommodate 250 people, have an office, a meeting room, a kitchen, toilets, water and electricity.
Umdoni Municipality has announced the launch of the Ward 7 Oswanini Community Hall construction project.
The mayor, Mbali Cele-Luthuli, officially introduced the employees to do the job as Gilgal Consulting Engineers and contractor Syaroro Trading.
Work is expected to take about eight months, and the project is set at a budget of R7.9m.
The hall will accommodate 250 people, have an office, a meeting room, a kitchen, toilets, water and electricity.
The mayor also mentioned that the project will not only bring infrastructural development to the community, but will create job opportunities for the local people and local entrepreneurs who are still developing.
“We are very committed to the development of the local people to overcome poverty,” she said.
“That is why we say that this project must ensure that the local people benefit.”
