Crime awareness campaign targets learners at Pennington Primary

Police offered advice on bullying and cyberbullying.

Learners at Pennington Primary in Scottburgh were treated to an informative and entertaining crime awareness campaign recently.

Personnel from Umdoni lifeguards, the Department of Education and Scottburgh Saps were on hand to educate learners about bullying and cyberbullying, and the importance of respecting teachers and parents.

Everyone was also made aware of how the public, including children, are drawn to beaches and rivers during the summer months to beat the heat.

On this topic, the team gave learners an educational and enjoyable discussion regarding water safety.
