Broken concrete slab at Umbango River bridge poses danger to motorists

Motorists are advised to exercise caution when approaching the Umbango River bridge on Main Harding Road as a square concrete block has collapsed after a vehicle crashed into it about three weeks ago.

It is a hazard to motorists travelling to Port Shepstone CBD from Marburg.

“This obstacle can cause vehicle damage or further accidents. We need the authorities to remove it,” said concerned motorist Vincent Chetty.

Comment was sought from Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, but none was received at the time of going to press.
