South Coast Hospice spreads love on Valentine’s Day

The non-profit thanks the community for making a difference.

South Coast Hospice celebrated Valentine’s Day at Marburg Community Centre, Southcoast Mall and Shelly Centre.

Locals came out in their numbers and supported a Valentine’s day raffle at Southcoast Mall last Saturday. The hamper valued at R2200 was won by Dewet Britz from Anerley. Shoppers had to purchase tickets from Shelly Centre or Southcoast Mall.

“We are incredibly grateful for the love and generosity shown through donations, purchases and ongoing support. What touched us most, however, were the heartfelt stories shared by community members who spoke about their personal experiences with hospice and the care their loved ones received. Hearing these testimonies whether about our in-patient unit or dedicated home-based care services means more than words can express. It reaffirms our purpose and strengthens our commitment to serve the South Coast community with compassion and dignity. Sometimes, it’s not only about the funds raised, but the connection of love and care we share as a community, ” said CEO Diane Van Dyk.

She thanked all organisations and the public for their support in raising much-needed funds and awareness for hospice.
